Prayer for World Unity

Our Father in heaven,

Holy is your name,

Your kingdom come,

Your will be done,

On earth as in heaven.

Give us today our daily bread,

And forgive our trespasses,

As we forgive those who trespass against us.

Lead us not into temptation,

But deliver us from the Evil One.

Praise be to God, Lord of the Universe,

The Compassionate, the Merciful,

Sovereign of the Day of Judgment.

You alone we worship,

And to You alone we turn for help.

Guide us to the straight path,

The path of those whom You have favored,

Not of those who have incurred Your wrath,

Nor of those who have gone astray.

On this path effort is never wasted and there is no failure.

Even a little effort toward spiritual awareness

Will protect you from the greatest fear.

At 15, I set my heart upon learning,

At 30, I had my feet firmly on the ground,

At 40, I no longer suffered from perplexities,

At 50, I knew the biddings of heaven,

At 60, I heard them with docile ear,

At 70, I could follow the dictates of my own heart,

for my desires no longer overstepped the boundaries of right.

So long as there is space,

So long as there are sentient beings,

I will remain,

In order to help, in order to serve,

In order to make my own contribution.

I am now here.

I am real.

I am love.
